wet screen door

Years ago when I first picked up a camera, I carried it everywhere. Taking pictures had nothing to do with earning a living, and everything to do with trying new things, having fun, and looking for interesting scenes. Lots of photos didn’t turn out so well (kind of a bummer after spending $10 to have a roll of film developed), while others made it all worthwhile.

A lot of the shots I really liked weren’t necessarily “pretty pictures” but were instead ones that I simply found visually interesting. You wouldn’t want to hang them on a wall (or maybe you would, in which case please give me a call and have your credit card handy), but it was the creative process that I loved, and still do… finding textures and patterns is endlessly entertaining.

Today after the sky finished dumping on us, our screen door collected water in a way that’s captivated me since I was just a li’l guy. I took these with my point and shoot.

And if these aren’t your cup of tea, more pretty pictures of people getting married will be coming this week. :)
