Kerri & Rick are getting married next summer, and they wanted to take some engagement pictures at their alma mater, Rowan University. We found some gorgeous spots on campus, borrowed one of the science labs (both Kerri and Rick are chemical engineers) and just had a great time.

Afterward, Kerri & Rick took me out for sushi. At 32 years old, this was the first time I’d ever tried it (contrary to what I may or may not have told people in the past). I liked it. A lot.

philadelphia engagement | devon + mike

Beautiful couple + great sunlight + Old City Philadelphia = one fantastic evening. I totally enjoyed spending time with Devon & Mike… they were so into it, all I really had to do was keep my eyes open and stay out of the way. D&M: thank you! I had a great time getting to know you better!

We started off getting a few shots at the bar where they met.

And then just puttered around Old City for a while.

And then we finished up the day in Northern Liberties.

Last week I found myself once again in the city that never sleeps to meet up with Jennifer and Ken. They’re getting married in Philly in a few weeks, but since they live in NYC, thought it would be nice to take some photos in their hometown. I love this city… because I don’t know it quite as well as Philadelphia, I usually ask my couples where they’d like to go for photos. Jen & Ken opted for the Meatpacking District, and the Brooklyn Bridge. I happily obliged…

Another gorgeous day with another delightful couple! Devon & Ken are getting married at Cairnwood this summer, but they live in Brooklyn and wanted to take their engagement photos up there. Fine with me — we had a great time walking around making these images.

We started off at their apartment… love the walls.

One of my favorite sessions from this fall… Melissa & Steven drove down from Syracuse to have their engagement photos taken in Philadelphia. Their chemistry together was fantastic, and it was such a pleasure getting to know them.

Just today I realized that I have a number of portrait sessions from this fall that I still need to blog… so without further ado, here are a few favorite images from Jeanne & Dan’s engagement session in West Chester. I especially love the last two, since that area is so important to both Jeanne and Dan, so we tried to capture a little of the feel of the city.

Greg & Megan are one of those couples that I knew I wanted to work with right from first time we met… they’re simply fun, laid-back, welcoming people. We got together in Philadelphia one morning a while back to take a few engagement pictures and get to know each other a bit better. They’re getting married at Riverdale Manor in Lancaster next summer, but because they live near Philadelphia they wanted to make sure we took these pictures here.

I just love this one.

nyc engagement session | rubina + garo

Have I mentioned that I really love shooting engagement sessions? It’s true… they give me a chance to hang out with my clients and take pictures in low-stress, high-creativity situations, and they let brides & grooms get comfortable in front of the camera before their wedding day.

Rubina & Garo will be married at the Loews Hotel in Philadelphia on January 2… but since Garo lives in NYC, they asked if I’d be willing to come up there to shoot their engagement photos. Absolutely! Since Rubina & Garo hired Pete Malone from First Floor Films to shoot their video, I asked if he wanted to come along to hang out for the day as well.

Pete took a few “behind-the-scenes” shots as well…

Since we were walking around the city with cameras, of course we had to play the part of tourists for a few shots. Here’s an intentionally bad photo of Pete pointing at a tall building…
