A huge THANK YOU to all of my couples who voted for me… there are many awards out there for photographers, but the trust and confidence of my clients is really the most important thing I could ask for. The Best of Weddings 2010 list is full of top-notch wedding professionals, and I’m honored to be named among them. Congrats to everyone who won this year!

My father will likely not be happy with this post, for the simple fact that I’m posting about the holidays before Halloween has even arrived, but it’s out of necessity (sorry dad). I’m happy to announce this year’s holiday print sale!

All expired galleries from 2009 have been reactivated. And between now and November 30, all prints are 20% off!

Also, remember that we also have holiday cards available, chock full of your favorite images and lovingly and professionally printed on gorgeous fine art linen paper! To order, simply log in to your gallery, choose an image, and click on the “products” tab.

All print orders must be received by November 30 in order to be guaranteed to arrive in time for Christmas. So what are you waiting for? Click here!

A few months ago, Brides Philadelphia magazine emailed to ask if I had images from any weddings in unusual/unique venues… Jo & PJ’s wedding at the World Cafe Live was an obvious choice. Jo was excited too, and her parents told me they went to 5 different bookstores looking for a copy of the Fall/Winter 2009 issue. It just hit the newsstands, and the layout looks great!

I was also pleased to see that one more image made their “The Moment” section, just inside the back cover…

We’re moving! Don’t worry, we’re not going far, but we finally got around to actually buying a house (finally, one that has a good space for Ryan Estes Photography). For our clients, this won’t change a thing except for a new address and phone number, effective as of Monday, July 20:

I posted briefly about this last week on the old blog (speaking of which, have you updated your RSS readers yet? This is where the action is now!) but thought I’d take a minute to speak just a bit more about it. The Philadelphia Wedding Project is a collaboration between myself and five other Philly-area photographers. It all started when the six of us were hanging out on St. Patrick’s Day and were talking about how much fun it would be to all shoot a wedding together. We all tend to learn and grow a lot in our craft when we work with other photographers we respect, and it’s just a blast to work with friends!

We began talking about how we could make this happen. As we batted ideas around, two things became clear:
1. We believe we can offer one couple absolutely *amazing* photography on their wedding day.
2. We want to do it for free.

That’s why we’re starting the Philadelphia Wedding Project… starting later this week, we want to hear stories from you and people you know. Are you getting married, or is there someone you know who’s getting married, who has a story worth telling? We want to hear it! Please have a look at the PWP website for all the details…
