Shannon – I know you’ve been waiting for this post for… oh, let’s just say way too long. I’m really happy to finally be able to post your wedding!

Shannon & Mike were married last October at the gorgeous Mountain View Resort in the Pocono mountains. Was it a long drive? Yup. Was it totally worth it? Yes! Their day was everything a fall wedding should be. I could go on, but since I’m posting way too many pictures here anyway, I’ll stop.

I do want to say thank you to Gene Smirnov, who came along to 2nd shoot that day as well. Gene got a lot of great images, some of which you’ll see below.

For those of you thinking, “She looks familiar” — you’d be right. Shannon is a reporter for WBRE in Wilkes-Barre, and I know she’d love it if you went ahead and liked her Facebook page.

Shannon is nothing if not enthusiastic!

ballroom at the ben wedding | lauren + kevin

Lauren & Kevin’s wedding was one killer event. From the Loews Hotel to St. Paul’s Church to the Ballroom at the Ben, we had a great time making these images and enjoying a perfect October day. The gorgeous florals from Petals Lane made it all the more beautiful, too.

Some of the pictures you see below are courtesy of my friend and fellow photographer Steve Langdon, who 2nd-shot for me for the day. Steve is laid back and gets the job done, and I really enjoy working with him… so thanks, Steve!

This post is just a tad image-heavy, so I’m just going to jump right in.

Another gorgeous autumn wedding at Cairnwood, one of my favorite places to work. Kate & Erich’s day was just about picture perfect, with a stellar cast of professionals taking care of the details… floral arrangements by Beautiful Blooms, cinematography by Video One, makeup by Cheekadee, and entertainment from the Janis Nowlan Band. Need I say more?

riverdale manor wedding | angela + ben

I’d been looking forward to shooting Angela & Ben’s wedding for a while. I’d shot her sister Abby’s wedding last year, and it was fun to work with the same family again. This wedding took place in October at Riverdale Manor in Lancaster, and we had a simply gorgeous day.

matt & maureen’s philadelphia wedding

Matt & Maureen were married last October 1. Anyone who got married that day (or had to step outside in the morning) can testify that it was a wet one. Flooding all over the place, and what would have been a 45-minute drive to the bride’s house took almost 3 hours! Thankfully, the rain stopped in time, and they actually wound up having a beautiful day.

Their ceremony took place at the Cathedral Basilica of SS. Peter & Paul, and their reception was at Cescaphe Ballroom in Northern Liberties. Thanks to Kevin High for coming along to shoot with me, and to Matt and Maureen and their families for a great wedding!

Another gorgeous wedding day this past fall! Courtney & Andy were married at Aldie Mansion in Doylestown, one of my favorite venues. appleford estate wedding | laura + dave

After a sweltering summer, Laura & Dave’s wedding at Appleford Estate in September was a welcome change. I know I say this a lot, but it really was a Super Fun Day, and my friend, 2nd shooter extraordinaire, and all-around put-the-wedding-party-at-ease kinda guy Pete Malone and I had a great time capturing these moments.

I’ve been to a lot of weddings, at a lot of different places, and I’ve seen more bands pack the dance floor than I can count. But I have rarely seen a band get the crowd as excited as these guys, the Insiders. Any band that ends the night with Toto’s “Africa” is okay in my book!

September is a fine month to be married, and Philadelphia a fine place to do it. Courtney & Blake said their vows in style at the Cathedral Basilica of SS. Peter & Paul, and celebrated with their family and friends at the Park Hyatt at the Bellevue.
