I love, love, love fall and winter. Give me a cool breeze, a warm fire, about 4 feet of snow on the ground and a good book and I’m a happy camper.
But when it comes to photographing children and families, I sure am missing warm October days like this one! I met up with Eric, Angela, their son, and Eric’s father for an afternoon at the Philadelphia Zoo. This is one of the chillest kids I’ve ever met. Loved the camera, and everything else too.
Just some favorites from a recent family shoot. We took these in and around their family’s home, which I think often adds a whole extra dimension to family portraits. (Don’t you love looking at pictures of places you’ve lived when you were a child?) These kids were overflowing with personality and loved the camera!

If you’re a long-time blog reader, you may remember Courtney & Blake from their wedding last year. That was a great day, but it wasn’t the end of the story. Skip ahead a year, and C&B have just welcomed their son into the world!
